I’ve been playing around with Libranet last few weeks on my old p3. I installed and configured apache, setup a LAN on my hub (net and printers shared). The modem in the p3 is win modem and are fuking little bitches to install on Linux, so I s-ed that idea. I wanted to make my server run in the background threw the LAN and still able to let users access it from the net using my home comps net connection. It needed to be completely self sufficient. I redirected port 80 threw my home comp to my p3 using software port forwarding. (http://www.phpbuilder.com/board/showthread.php?s=&threadid=10271146) Now the locolhost on my home is running from the p3, GREAT STUFF!! <<IM L337... Anyway after my little victory dance I realized that I won’t be able to change or modify my document root directory without having to give access to my windows machine, which I tried numerous times previously to do… Hence no longer self sufficient.
I tried to share the document directory but it says only can share files in a users home directory. So I edit the httpd.conf file and change the directory to my home directory. Its all shared and all, but when I try and access it nothing happened. Is it still just typing the ip in a browser? Is there a special way of sharing the 2 different file systems without changing it from FAT?
