I think i read somewhere that there will be a PC version. I liked the original Driver, I might hire it first (PS2 version).

EDIT:
You can pre-order the PC version at gamesmarket.com.au, no ETA. On a UK site they mention November 2004 for the UK version

Ahh, I remember how many hours we used to spend as giggling 11-12 year olds with a PS2 wheel doing burnouts in Driver.

I haven't heard much about D3 'cept that the AI is supposed to be horrid. How much of an impact that will have on overall game quality I'm not sure... depends what kind of role it plays :?

Its horrid

My bro has it on X-box the game is so glitchy, its almost impossible to get an aim on ur enemy, you run over the cops at 200km/h and they get up again and keep shooting, the physics are -, very unenjoyable game!

UPDATE:

I hired the game, it's not really that bad... A massive improvement on Driver 2..

Yes, you CAN run over people.

It's more realistic than GTA and True Crimes because of such things as:

Street Lamps.. If you hit them, they dont just fall over, you get owned, and can even die...

Also, if you totally own yourself on a motorbike, you can die... etc

you'll hate it in a few days.... its kewl at first, no matter what speed i hit people though they still live :(

All games like GTA 3, True crimes, Driver etc etc are sheet. They get really boring really quickly.

not if you enjoy going rampage with a tank or a mini-gun...

you can't compare the three.

out of those, the only true free-form one is really GTA3 and vice city etc....

and it's fun because when you don't feel like doing a mission you can quite easily and seamlessly in the same game without loading another savegame just load an mp3 up and go on a bender running people over in an ambulance listening to "let the bodies hit the floor"

etc etc

true crime sucks .
GTA series rocks i own all of them from 1 to vice city and i think 2 was the most fun cause of the sounds

"The Getaway" is trucking awesome
San Andreas is gonna rock for a few reasons:

You can rob houses
Do drive bys with 4 people
get fat or anarexic
Swim (bout friggin time)
ride bikes
kewl soundtrack
