spent all afternoon installin Gentoo... i forgot to install GRUB. I rebooted the machine but it says there is no OS found.

I -in hate computers!

Now im starting again from scratch.

starting from scratch is one way to solve the problem.

The other way is to reboot with a Gentoo live CD. Mount your filesystems then CHROOT into them. When you are in there you should be able to install GRUB quite happily.
