Apache Server

[Damage]

I have an Apache Server Started with "httpd" and when I go to a browser and type in the IP Address of the Linux Box a default Apache Test page loads.

How can I replace this page with my website index page.

In "httpd.conf" serverRoot is "/etc/httpd" and if I put in a "index.html" in the serverRoot folder it wont go to it even if I type "http://192.168.x.x/index.html"

What the Hell am I doing wrong, It is anoying me.....

1 of these is usually were ur server dir is for ur pages

then its in html or sumthing along the lines of tht inside there

I got it working, Had to put the Web Pages in /var/www/http/ & now it works.

edit : ahh no it's not... it's on his computer, AND its through PIPE so any traffic to his web page doesnt count to my download limit

Nah Maj, This website is on My Linux Box in my loungeroom.

I am using a Dynamic DNS provider to redirect the address to my IP Address as I have a dynamic IP.

If I didnt you would have to keep typing in different IP Adresses.
There will be FTP soon to, For all the good *cough * Cough* "Microsoft Updates"... :D

yeh i know your with no-ip.

my awesome re-direction is maj.ccgl.org... but i had to suck some - for that one. You wont find a site there tho, its purely so I can SSH to my box at home.
