We recently saw your TV article on the World Cyber Games on Channel V. That feature was filmed at SGL which is a regular LAN event. You said that the closest female you could find there, was one on a wallpaper. Thats not true. I am a member of All Girls Counter Strike Clan called Absolute Dominatrix, and we have been together for almost 3 years, and we regularly attend SGL and CCGL (www.ccgl.org) and many other LANS to compete in Counter Strike Competitions.



You have interviewed a guy in the article from Clan Design Flow (Design Flaw) and you have asked him questions about being beaten by a female in Counter-Strike.

My clan played them, and beat them. We will be at next WCG / SGL, in August. Due to 3 of our clan members being overseas, we could not attend the one that was filmed at



Our clan, Absolute Dominatrix, has been sponsored by XGESports for over a year now, and they provide things such as servers and plane tickets so that some of our girls can come and compete in Sydney.



We were just wondering whether you would like to follow up and interview some real female gamers. There are 9 of them in our clan , and we have been together for ages. Australias longest running All Girl Clan. We range in age from 14, to 23, with the majority being 18 - 20. We will be at next SGL, and would like to encourage more female gamers to get out there, and attend LANS and kick some guys asses! Many girls are afraid to LAN, and we want to promote female gaming and showing that there all girl geeks out there, and to be proud of it.



We play not only Counter-Strike, but Quake 3, and Unreal Tournament 2004, and many other games competitively.



So next SGL/WCG, please feel free to come interview myself and the other girls (who will be there) to get a real point of view on what its like to be a real female gamer, and the sort of attitude and expectations we get from guy gamers.

The game's compatability is not what has made it a classic. More the addictive simplistic round after round gameplay than anything. But sure, performance on computers all across the board would've had something to do with it i guess
