I mean ACTUAL flight simmers, (IL-2 FB: AEP, lomac, Falcon, Flanker, gunship etc) i dont mean people that play battlefield and like to fly planes, but yer :)
How many people we have here that frequent CCGL that are ACTUALLY simmers?
Just curious, coz for those that are, might have a surprise in store for next CCGL, we'll see :)

Lock-on : Modern Air Combat

warning : its almost as difficult to fly as a real plane, not quite as hard as flanker 2.5 though

afaik, freelancer wasn't a space combat sim... it was a pathetic attempt at a RPG... soz...
i'm talking about Tie Fighter, XvsT, XWA, freespace 2, x-com etc...
i was a fanatical XvsT player in my day... can own any1 at that game...

yep, trackir products have a great reputation in the simmer market.
and guys, can we keep this on topic with actual sims...
i know games like that on mega drive were fun, but lets just stick on topic yeah?
there were actual decent sims on mega drive, F117-A stealth fighter, and LHX attack chopper to name a couple.

wierd, you turn your head but you still have to look at the screen?
hmmmm
not make sence
James

you don't "turn " it, per se, slight head movements can make it look.
after it's calibrated to however you want it set up, you can just tilt your head and your view will look up.
it's very good for SA (situational awareness) and for those russian pilots who use SHLEM targetting in the modern flanker - C and D variants, also the mig29A and S.
course, BVR with EOS is better for long range, which i tell general fuct but he still loves his helmet mounted hud :P
