HL2 is finally here (well not quite)

The Half-Life 2 offers have been finalized. Details are pasted below. The Steam offers will be available for purchase next week. Those who purchase via Steam, will receive the final version of Counter-Strike: Source immediately. Half-Life 2 and other games in the Steam offerings will be made available to purchasers upon their release.

Been trying to work out since this was posted on hlfallout WTF happens do DoD if you don't buy on steam!?

perhaps you need to then purchase it separately over steam.


OR, perhaps they are having a separate box release. but with all the - involved with valve and vivendi universal, i very much doubt that....

since cs source comes with every hl2 bundle i reckon the hl2 voucher just gets you the stock standard steam half life 2 pack.

Well, by the looks of it you get it all sent to you but you download the catalogue off steam seperatly

ive heard no mention of it.

By the looks of things DoD will be released later seperately by Activision.. Activision are the DoD distributor, but Valve can sell them all together over steam, but Vivendi cant sell it in their box.

So.. it's either buy silver on steam, or buy BOTH boxed sets if i wanna play HL2 and DoD:S.. which really sucks, since i have no access to credit card.

p.s. The consensus is that ATI voucher does get you the bronze pack, but option to upgrade it may exist..

The thing that really .s me here.. is that they release this information, but there has been no official answers to all the questions surrounding them.. gg marketing.
