I've got an XP1800+ and mobo for it, and i'm wanting to sell the mobo and CPU because i'm going to compile myself a socket 754 system :)

my offer has been made for the cpu and the mobo

i should inform you bugsy that the motherboard with the 2700 does not have dual channel

and if you choose you can purchase my cpu (XP1800+ tbred, not palomino) without the motherboard, i don't really care if i split them up but i'm not sure whats happening yet

I'd really rather build a cheap sempron system than buy the 2700 off beefcake but if it comes down to it i'll buy the 2700+ and old archaic motherboard for $150

the 2700+ has lasted the best out of any of my systems

never gotten hot, never bluescreened, no peformance lag

i was referring to bestrafe. buying a 2500 sempron would be more expensive than a 2700+ Athlon tbird and not as good performance wise, the socket A semprons are poo.

The athlon line is still very fast and definitely worth looking at for a new machine, even though the upgrade path is kind of limited now, but hey, theyre still good and very very cheap :)

i'll make my offer again to the beef of cake for $150 for his 2700 and mobo

and bugsy, if you're gonna buy brand new a socket A chip, take a long hard look at the 3200 barton and stuff

theyre so cheap now
