This is off the steam official support page.

I get this Error: 'Steam.exe(main exception):Unable to find Steam.dll entry point InternalSteamStartEngine'
Question

I get this Error: 'Steam.exe(main exception):Unable to find Steam.dll entry point InternalSteamStartEngine'
Answer

This is typically caused by a bad Steam install or something got corrupted on your existing Steam installation.

The easiest fix for this problem is to delete this file (usual location):

c:program filesvalvesteamclientregistry.blob

If that doesn't fix this problem then your best bet is to uninstall Steam using the add/remove in the control panel, get this Steam installer: Steaminstall.exe

and follow these instructions: which is re-install

Back up the cache files, then uninstall and re-install steam.

There may be another way, but I think that's the easiest.
