the GTO can't drift for -. The one you see that drifts in the US is a body of the gto and an engine thats it. the chassis and suspension setup is all custom made that is the only way it can drift with the limited success that it has. It can't compete with a silvia or Ae86 in terms of drift.

sho3 has a point there

but lets not all forget that it is a game that we are talking about here. and yes the GTO looks fvkin nice

im still a fan of the hummer though :P

that my friend shoe is because the GTO is set up the same as a monaro which is designed so that instead of drifting it stays on the road so it can apply its power to beating the hell out of other cars around corners and such, to make it drift you would have to take out the FE 2 suspension and then it wouldnt be the same

Yeah I know that is why they are not such a bad car I guess bit on the heavy side for my liking but the FE2 isn't the best shocks for it though they can be a bit on the spongy side but some stiffer springs bring to a whole new level

Btw.. I love import cars.. But Ive watched drifting often enough to know that any of the hot imports out there on STOCK suspension, cant drift very well either.. So using the fact that the Monaro had to change its suspension to be competitive in drift, is really a null point, as most other cars would have to as well.

It wasn't just the suspension but the whole chassis aswell but the car wasn't meant to drift so can't really blame it. Yeah That is true about the suspension aswell but imports don't have to go to the lengths the GTO has to or the viper and mustangs that are in the US drift series. All they really need is a good LSD and some stiffer shocks and springs and it can drift competently(spelling)

I own you all. 220 KPH.

Only had it clocked at 180 though. Was a damn windy day (blowing from the side, not behind) and it was blowing me all over the road. Felt like it still had plenty of kick though but I wasn't game enough to try it.

Happily did that speed at a leisurely 3500 RPM.

Damn you!

I can't wait to see what you've done with your car. :)
