Okay, after looking at the sizes of files, I'm stuffed via dialup.

Who has the following files I can get off at the next CCGL.

Half-Life dedicated steam server 400+meg
UT2004 Dedicated server 700+meg
Ravenshield 300+meg.

Correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn't i be able to make a backup of my files in steam? And then give them to you on CD Dave? Good idea if it will work i says

True, but there's a HL dedicated server that doesn't require a steam login and client, as I'm not sure we'll have net access anyway.

Thanks for the offer though.

Cool, thanks Maj.

Okay that's pretty much all of them.

COD is there a dedicated server for it?

You just install / copy over CoD to create a dedicated server.. Be prepared to learn a few command line commands though, as its all console based.

Not hard by any means though. Very similar (and i mean very) to Quake III.

Cool. I'll just run the server and grab the log files to see what things do, or download the how to then.

I definately like XP's remote desktop thingy. Means I can treat my parent's computer like a server. I couldn't be stuffed walking 3 meters ;)
