if u guys are trying to organise this i just happen to work for a company that rents out high power 2000 lumen projectors... i've already had a weekend of halo2 on em and it rocks...

i sent an email to turri about the possibility of my work sponsoring phat... but no response...

i *may* be able to get some projectors form work, but being brand new, i dunno, plus i'd have to make sure that there are insured for damage etc

or you can go onto tomshardware and read how to make your own projector which is superior in image quality to any commercial-grade projector, over 10 times as bright as the brightest projector, and produces a larger screen....

for only around $350...

if you have the lcd ofc :)

A Guy at CLGA actually bought one of the CMV's to do that with. Now that's insane. It was Private Smith if I remember correctly :o

ok james, u can sit there and build some projectors for this... or... u can consider the practical option...

these projectors are bloddy powerful... we've used em to light up movie theatres before (with the appropriate long throw lens of course)

as far as xbox goes, why dont you just go what the CLGA xbox guys do?

Take the xbox, plug it into your VIVO video card, then play xbox on your LCD/Monitor....

as far as network goes, i thought they just jacked into the normal network at the LAN.

or maybe run another shadow network just around the section where the XBOXes are.

Projectors are gonna be nice though, and i would make me own, but i dont wanna destroy my cute p233MMX laptop until i get an iBook

the thing is not all of us have VIVO on our gfxs, and i do have it and for some unknown reason i cant pick my xbox up on it.

and yes they can run on the same network as the rest of us however we cant see pc's but we can still connect xbox to xbox.

but projectors are really the only way to go unless everyone wants to lug their tvs to the lan, which i dont think will be an option :S

anyway im still in discussions with turri about it so NFI on whats happening :D
