Isn't that illegal?

OMG GTST's are nice.. I was curious if 17k was the average going price of a modded one like this?

And if GT-R body kits can be fitted?

Thanks.

I just got a ride home from sydney in it on the F3 it kicks soo much ass, its just got so many cool features I want to buy it myself if I had the money.

The suspension is fully customisable with ease, atm its set to drift style suspension and still handles awesomely.

/me really wants :(

Brett:

*I don't know whether its illegal but the top speed was limited at 180km but now can do much more ;)

*For the condition the car is in and the amount of money spend on mods its well worth 17k but if you're genuienly interested, call and negociate.

*Ask about the body kit I'm not quiet sure, I don't see why not.

water injection?

should I assume he's got a aquamist system on the intercooler or refering to actual injection just after the turbo or something along those lines?

It will either mean a system where you inject water into the intercooler piping to cool down the charged air or a spray system on the outside of the cooler. Either one is vaulable in summe if you are runing higher than factory boost

Propably the insurance costs....

James

I doubt alcatrazz can afford to insure the thing.

AlCaTrAzz

i doubt alcatrazz can find an insurance company willing to insure that thing to any P plater...

think i might just have to stick with the original plan... Mazda 3 with kit

Just cars or shannons will insure you

James
06-12-2004, 02:53 PM
yeah but you'll still need to sell one of your testicles for scientific research to be able to afford it

MR2

No dude, NO-ONE will insure you, I've just finished getting insurence from Just Cars and they were the only mob actually willing to give me a quote..

NRMA..sorry sir, we don't insure cars like yours
BudgetDirect, sorry sir, we don't insure people who've had more than 2 infringements in the last 3 YEARS
AAMI, sorry sir we don't insure people your age with this car
Just car ONLY insured me when I told them I'd had no accidents in my 5 years of fully licenced driving(silver licence)..

got a clean licence? got a no-claim bonus?

General Fuct

He was 19 when he got it...it cost him around $250 a month to insure if I remember correctly.

I'll see him at work on thurs and see why he isn't answering his phone ^_^.

Just Car will be your only bet..

Shannons wont touch you with a 10 foot pole.

With Just Cars, even if you have infringments, they still insure you, they just charge more..

When I told them about my license suspension, they asked if it was in the last however many years.. It made a difference of about $500 a year.

My excess jumps from 600 to 1050 for p plater and 1050-1600 cus i have had a 15-30 ticket in last 1 year. The premium is $1800 (FOR A CAMRY). I decided to just take a risk and go just 3rd party. Haven’t had an accident yet going un comprehensive 1.5 years now. If I was paying that much I could have rebought my car by now.

If only that GTST R33 had 4 way steering. I'm in the market for 1 with 4 way steering that or a 240SX, and if you have the money you can get any thing insured unless you have been black listed

and i dont realy know many advantages of HICAS appart from when reverse parking..

wouldnt exactly be something that would define wether i got a particular car or not.

Ok to clear a few things up, I think you have been playing to much NFSU2 it is a 180sx in every other country but USA. the 240sx is a 180 with a truck motor in it. 4 wheel steering or in nissans language is called HICAS is really really bad, in fact I would call it dangerous when cornering with speed it dosen't always steer the 4 wheels it is like a switch that if it senses hard cornering gives the rear wheels a bit of a go. Totally unpredictable and has caught a few people out with it. I have had 2 cars with Hicas and it can get a little tricky when coming out of a corner.

If I were you I would not get it it was just a gimmick that didn't really go down to well. My silvia handels so much better with it removed it is not funny, much more precise and smoother.

soz bout the long post just had to say what it is like from personal experience.

with all the f*cktards killing themselves & other people *see example @ lisarow*
no insurance company in their right mind will touch a imported turbo to a P-plater.. its about 3K+ per year.... easy... of course you can run the risk of no insurance and when you have an accident @ fault, let alone injure some one... think warm happy thoughts when the injured parties insurance lawyers get a hold of you and see how big they can jamm something where it dont belong.... :o and thats just their bill

Dont get me wrong, i'd love a skyline, but they are too powerful for inexperienced drivers, suck down juice quicker than a horny pornstar... and cost a frikken fortune to insure... let alone drive up everyone elses premiums cause of the amount of accidents

. i've got a modified rolla and i've had my license suspended due to a heavy right foot.... imagine a car that could do it 2 times quicker..... besides the wow i've got a skyline like every other tool, lets see how quick i can drive this into a power pole....

save ur cash, buy a decent small car, and save ur $$$ for a property.... trust me, i wish i did.....

I've been wondering if you could get a do-it-all Computer for the car that replaces the stock - and gives you tunability of all that, apparently the GTO has 1.5 Degrees in the rears so if you could adjust that...

and then stuff like auto window close/sunroof close on arming of alarm..ehh

does it exist as a single unit?

AlCaTrAzz
13-12-2004, 11:36 AM
hmm... it is possible to hook a computer or laptop upto the sensors in a car... altho the adapter is expensive... i can't see any reason y a linux guru coudln't do it... but i dont know of any systems already designed like that... except maybe in $200,000+ cars

sho3
13-12-2004, 11:57 AM
you can get a after market ECU that replaces the stock one, they range from about 600 to 5k. the auto windows and sunroof thing can be done by a good alarm system you would need to speak to a professional to help you any further

James

windows and stuff are just electrical, i dont see why you couldnt make a program on a laptop that could controlling the mechanisms that make the windows go up and down
