I've got 2 x 3com WL-525's..however they don't seem to have a way to connect to each other...what's going wrong? I'm sure I've got the wrong units right?

check for one to have a "Client" Mode

or a Bridge Mode

if not... go buy ya self some repeating bridge AP's
dlink 54G's do it... and so do the ones my work sell

Two modes, adhoc and infrastructure. Adhoc is card to card, infrastructure is card to access point. You will need some client access software to configure it unless you are using windows xp. Xp has it built in.
