Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne

Information
This Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne tournament at Phat LAN begins with a 7-hour preliminary round. The preliminary round uses a "Swiss style" format, where players with similar records are matched together as opponents. When a player hits the Play Game button to start a new preliminary game, the server will attempt to match the player with another player who has an identical preliminary round record. If the server cannot locate a player with the same record quickly, then the server will expand its player search to include players with similar records. Players may attempt to play as many games as possible during the time allotted. Players of any skill level, record, or ladder level may enter the preliminary tournament. This is a SOLO Tournament.

The tournament will be a LAN version of BNet (PvPGN). Ranking will be in an internal site for anyone at the LAN to view. The point system for wins/losses will be identical as the current BNet patch. The higher level player you beat the higher point you get, etc. Players enter a new preliminary game by pressing the play game button at the top of the screen. As many games can be played as possible in the preliminary round. Maps may be turned down at will while in preliminary stage. This round will be running in the background of other comps.

After the preliminary round the top 8/16 people (depending on participants) enter a final round tournament of single knockout elimination to find the winner. Maps are pre-chosen for this round. The final match will be best out of 3. The winner of the final elimination game is the winner of the tournament.
