hey this may sound mcn00b but do u hav to format wen putting in a new processor? i no u hav to wen u put in a new mobo but is it the same with the processor?

i gotsa amd xp2800 for chrissie yay! a bit better to the 2000 i had

generally no... just make sure u flash ur mobo before u put the new processor in...

seriously, google it... or goto the website of your mobo and it should be on there... and if u dont flash ur mobo when ur upgrading from a 2000+ to a 2800+ u might hit compatability problems depending on the age of ur mobo
