Hi i am currently on Swiftdsl 256/64/2GB Plan and it is staring to get quite painfull, especially just before LAN's

Does anyone know of any faster plans that are unlimited?

I want 512/128 minimum

Your asking a lot for $60, static IP is hard as well as unlimited. you could always use somthing like www.no-ip.com for dynamic IP's, it works pretty well.

Not really relevant is it?

I was going to recommend Au1 as well.

Its quite relevant.

If ccgl'ers know they have a fellow CCGL'er to turn to its a positive.

I would have gone with Ads0r, but I could only afford exetel.

im on the au1 service...

you can ask ads0r how much i whore down the bandwidth.

we both have au1 services here @ home...

yes... we are less then 20mtrs apart and we have seperate adsl + lan cabel between the both of us... lol

im doing.... gb's and gb's never had issues... quality services. aapt backbone, reliable, fast, + pipe... though... its unlimited so i only use it for the faster acess to the game servers

you can specify all the criteria you want and it will give you a run down of every ISP in australia with what you're asking for.

http://www.whirlpool.net.au/ also has a list of ISP and plans, and plan finder, as well as some great active forums.

why u want static IP! Can do everything the same if you have a dyanimic IP - Just gotta install some software to update IP to Hostname

There are some things you cant really do on dynamic IP, whether you have a dynds.. Such as hosting a primary DNS server.. Running a mail server communicating directly with other mail servers (for exmaple iinet black list all there dynamic ranges with spam sites).

being black listed is not good! Didnt know that you could run a primary DNS server. Well you learn some thing everyday!

I might change later on after i get a job and possibly invest in something relyable like Ads0r has.

I Require Static IP for if DNS fails and i will most likly be running mail ftp and hosting services.

I have checked TPG, i didnt mind if someone didnt meet all the criteria, as long as it was static, but TPG come no wear near what i am after.

You wont have much luck hosting anything on a home ADSL connection. I would be keeping your normal connection and paying for hosting instead.. I host stuff on mine, but im doing it for fun, it isnt a business site.

mine is for fun too, but i host westgosfordshoppingcentre.com.au this year cos it is easier to work on it live

it will be hosted next term

it's ok, i get yelled at a lot, i'm sort of used to it.

If you are after broadband, james said it already, go to www.whirlpool.net.au, look up broadband choice and find something that suits.

Althogh it took me 2 months to get throgh my stupid router im hosting a web server, Teamspeak server and a game server (all just my computer, havent gotten around to installing a OS on the real server.)

TPG is fine for it, althogh I would like to be able to upload from my web server faster then 256k, but I guess its not too bad

What kind of game servers are you running with only about 25kbps upstream bandwith? And / or are you only having 1 or 2 people connected?
