Please, for the love of all that is holy
Use our powerboards. Only use two spots.
The people that doubled up powerboards, plugged in double adapters, had more than two things, plugged fans, dehumidifiers, chargers, extra devices etc are the ones to blame for the power cutting out.
So please think of your own gaming enjoyment, and be considerate for others sitting around you that may not want to stare at a blank screen for over an hour while the power gets fixed.. One particular row had 19 extra powerboards on it.
Any extra powerboards or fans that are plugged in will be confiscated and held at the admin area, if you notice it is missing, go and see an admin at the desk or one walking around and they will get it for you when you leave, or give it to you on the promise you make that you will put it away in your bag and not use it, or forfeit your soul :P
This was an avoidable issue that we had at phat, and I hope we don't have it again. I'll be being even more proactive in the removal of devices, and if I see an extra powerboard that shouldn't be there that's plugged in, and it's got a computer on it, you'll have two minutes to shut down before i unplug you and plug you into one of our powerboards. (edit: if you're in a comp, i'll come back later. i'm not trying to be slack here, just trying to stop power problems. )
Also, if for some reason your computer wont function with just two power slots, im sure some concessions MAY be made, but please work on the assumption that you will only be allowed two power slots at the LAN.
I don't mean to sound like a power nazi, but if you just use our power, and only two slots (i'm starting to sound like a broken record now, hehe ;) ) then we won't have any problems, and the power shouldn't go out.
