UPDATE!!! Trying really unorthodox fixing method!!!

yerp, there was a batch of maxtors that my tafe teachers were talking about and good old bruce whertner told us how he had a few customers with this problem, he chucked em all in the freezer and they all worked long enough for him to leech the data off them....

i managed to recover all my data!!! YAYZ0R

not gonna trust the hard drive anymore... getting a new one today...

but yeah, the data wasnt my work stuff, it was my personal PC... so alot of the stuff on there was from phat lan and hasn't been backed up yet...
