Hey all,


In recent talks of lack of decent team games being played at the lan, I was reminded of a game that was introduced to me at CCGL #20. I was basically a n00b at the whole lanning scene and this game had been out for some time yet I latchd onto it and tried to give it some more life. However others didn't feel the same way about this game as I did, and that made me a sad panda. But anyone who knows me well enough would have realised that I wasn't going to give up on this game.


Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory


One of the best team based games I have played. Based on the Q3 engine, it has all the qualities a team based competition game needs. So I am asking everyone to download or aquire WolfET for a trial run in one of the upcoming CCGLs

WolfET is a free game and I anyone is on 56k etc. and would like to get the installs then please send me a PM and I will see what I can do in terms of you guys getting this game...

I am going to be asking kitteh if I can host these files on her server for a short period of time but until then anyone who wants thses files can get them here:

hey guys, for those of you that are on DSL. Check the FTP of your provider for these files.

Alot of the time they have them available for free download.

For those special ppl on PIPE, use the "mirror.nsw.3fl.net" ftp to get them on PIPE at full speed.

xL: if you would like, i have alot of spare CPU usage available for a server. but you have to be willing to use the linux terminal.

Never actually got into ET, although been playing wolf since Wolf3D ^_^ I'll download it tonight and definatly play it at CCGL

yeah, i'm up for some WolfET...

also i wanna get some SOF2 going as well cos i can remember CCGL24 we had some crazy games of that going...

an idea though, would it be possible to run the ultimate gamers comp, but using team based games this time?

Thats a fsucking great idea AlC. The "ultimate" gamer should be judged on team play and team strategy as well.

Oh and WolfET gets a thumbs up from me. Has to be the best FREE online FPS out there. sheets all over America's Army.

I wanna play! I remember when we used to play and I owned everyone (Not really but it was so fun)

so what format is ET played in? like what size teams?

cos SOF2 works best with 4vs4 or 5vs5 in Infiltration mode... so i'm thinkin if we can get like 8 teams together that are 5vs5... we can have a mini ET comp and a mini SOF2 comp @ next CCGL? just for kicks really...

these are both really great games that deserve all the gaming they can get

ET seems weird to me, too colourful with all the writting on screen, no player tags so all I do is Tk, but if you can stand that...
