Okay I was playing nfsu2 (v1.1) a couple of days ago and it was running sweetly, till I reinstalled windows. I backed up my savegames (in Docs and settings) and loaded them back in. That worked for about 10 mins or so, then my computer hard locked during a drift race. So I reboot and fire up nfsu2 again only to find it wont load my profile (it hard locked). Fair enough must've got corrupted when it locked up, I think so I go restore it form the backup again, and it still wont load my profile. At this point I reinstall nfu2 and put my backup profile back on and same problem. Okay so it doesnt like my profile anymore.. maybe I backed it up wrong, I guess I've only lost a few days work. So I delete the profile and start a new career which is going fine for at least 30mins+ until I go park in a body shop and put on some custom bumpers. When I go to leave the shop, it hard locks on the loading screen. wtf?? I reboot and try to load up the new profile and it hard locks again during loading.
Any ideas?
