My brother-in-law needs to check his emails while on the road and if necessary, zap an attachment to a laptop.
I'm thinking he either uses a mobile phone as a modem for his laptop, OR, he uses a mobile phone to check his emails and if he has an attachment, he could bluetooth it to his lappie...
Thoughts?
and what specs would a phone need to check emails?
ta ppls...

Anything that can handle GPRS and has some way to be connected to a computer (ir, bluetooth, cable) is fine.

I just hooked up myz1010 with net settings and email settings and received my first email OK. Haven't tested with attachment yet.
With any luck, my b-i-l will not have to get attachments, but just a text email...
I was impressed with the google homepage for wap on my phone... I don't see the point of wap for older non colour screen phones.

Its a very cool feature, and there are a fair few major sites that cater for mobile phone users.. Keep in mind though that GPRS is very expensive.. From memory the plan Im on charges per 100kb.. :P
