my <look @ topic> stoped working...
the cables are fine, i've redone them many times.. and everything is working in my older 10mbit hub.. (wich is what i'm running off @ the moment)
i assume the switches.. "auto uplink sencing" feature has failed.. because it wont uplink to my router anymore.... and it i do get a link light.. it still cant send any traffic.. restart the switch.. link dosent come back...
anyone farmiliar with belkin gear have any suggestions on how to get it working
<looks @ brainless>
network works fine... just wont link with my router anymore.

couldn't you use a normal cable then plug it into a normal port instead of the uplink port?
I can't remember if that would work or not :) help you isolate the problem if that does work.

it dosent have an uplink port.. all 5 will work as an uplink.. it "auto detects" if its supposed to be an uplink and does its thing..
and i've tryed a crossover and a patch.. to no avail..

Take it to Belkin, ask for brainless, tell him there is a dinosaur behind him, grab another one and run off.
