k, it's about time I stepped up and got an iPod.

Anyone have any clues as to who sells them for a decent price.

I know Strathfield has them free with a phone plan but I'm already on a plan so that's no help to me.

Any other places?

Depends on what you want bro.

Mini: 4gb (1,000 songs)

Ipod: 20gb (5,000 songs)

Ipod: 40gb (10,000 songs)

Photo Ipod: 60gb or 40gb ( Stores photos aswell as music)

Depending on what you want, there are different prices ofcoarse :P

eBay would be a good way to go, get it a bit cheaper then what it is..

Second hand.
No headphones.
$458.70 new elsewhere (http://www.mp3direct.com.au/webstore/pdinfoadv.asp?productID=496&s_brand=&s_category=&s_pdstatus=&s_product=ipod&s_product_code=&s_subcategory=&).
You'd have to do a lot better than $400 Beefy.

May I suggest a creative zen touch, they are cheaper and have higher quality audio. Come with a free $150 FM remote/LCD remote at the moment too.

Edit:

oh, they're 20 gigabytes too.

if ur a student and you get it from an apple centre, u have to ask but they give you a student discount of about $50... They sell them at competitive rates even without the discount..
nearest apple center is @ erina on the main round. not @ erina fair..

Tempus,

Going to have to go with James on this one, Creative is much better.
U will find that most people sell ipods for around the same price, because sellers aren't allowed to change the price much, it's an apple thing. Plus replacement batteries are rather costly, $199 to replace it. http://www.apple.com.au/batteries/replacements.html

Anyway if u wanna buy one come see me when i'm working.
