Big water :| tsk tsk damage, I'm dissapointed :(

DangerDen all the way :P

Personally not a big fan of those setups due to the performance compared to a silverprop or DangerDen and lack of expandability but the price seems to be right on them and the temps you seem to be getting arent that bad. I'm assuming thats 35 degrees Idle?

This is a thread about Damages watercooling, so the off topic, flopping out of e-wang posts have been removed or modified.

45 degrees c under stress of playing CSS for an hour, considering it use to get to 70 under stress with aircooling I am happy.

Quick question for a water cooling noob.

How mobile is that kinda setup? Is it something that is going to leak if it gets moved to much (like say to a lan)?

No watercooling system will leak if its done properly, Tt kits are designed for easy use and mobility so I cant see any problems with transporting it.

Like icefire said.. :) My setup actually has taps and stuff, so its more likely to be a problem than a normal setup, and I have never had an issue with leaking.

Mobility wise though, it can add alot of weight.. Something to consider.. That case of mine is now almost impossible to take to lans :P heh

nah wont leak...

I had a few air bubbles in the water block that were stuck so I tipped the case on its side to free the bubbles and there was no leaks or spills with that.

My Waterchill (highly recomended for n00bs) is great, it doesnt leak, it makes my case quiet and runs at 31ēC idle (web browsing) and 38ēC under load (CS:S). It was running under 40ēC at Phat. Word of warning thogh, orange highlighter increases your temps by 5ēC, and may stain your tubes.

Looks like it works okay. I am surprised that the temp doesn't drop further, though the system is like a radiator only, not a refrigerator style system?.
We should ask Korik what temp his mother water cooling system gets to. I suppose that considering yours is a package system, as long as you don't mod it too much it shouldn't leak.

I dunno, water and computers, I just have trouble bringing myself around. I prefer to stick on heaps of fans, and hang on tight.

I'm with you on that one Strider... The idea of putting tubes of water so close to my computer just scares me! I understand the reasoning, and I can see from the number of success cases that it works well, but just because 50 people jump off a bridge and survive to tell about it, doesnt make me want to do it any more so :P

quick note to damage, for a better way to get rid of air bubbles. try and make your reservoir the highest point in the system..
reservoir's are there to get rid of your air bubbles.. ^_^ make the best use of it as you can.

it only looks small.. so you could probly bracket it to the top of your case.. or shift your cd roms down and put it in the top spot.

just and idea anyways

Simple rule to watercooling.. Leak test before putting it in a running system.. When I build my setup, I actually spilled water all over the MB the first night I put it in, but it was a dry run and I just left the MB out to dry.. I then left the watercooling setup going by itself for almost a week before it went in a running system.. Havent had a problem since.

Ive put alot of money into my systems.. The watercooling is there to insure that they keep working for a long time.. What do you think will last longer.. A CPU that idles at 60+, or one that never sees the hot side of 30?

I'm waiting for the algae that you didn’t clean out of your water cooling system to clog one of the tubes so that it bursts :P Then my 60+ cpu will last longer :P

algie is easy.. use treated water.. or engine coolant insted of water for and eg.

there are lots of aulternate liquids you can run thru your WC system.
