Sound = Dead, Need Help Badly!

Well, I think I managed to kill my bass amp and my sound card with one stone. I was playing bass, and had sound going into the amplifier from my sound card. dad told me to turn it off so I pulled out the sound cable from the amp, and my amp started making strange statice noises, and so does my soundcard (when it works at all) I even tried onboard sound, and another sound card (Sound Blaster CT4810, though I didnt get any drivers that worked for it) and i have nothing. Can someone please help me? I reinstalled the drivers, and new ones too. I also made sure my onboard sound was on in the bios. It isnt on mute either. I have it all configured properly, but nothing...

You reckon I've killed my sound totally?

I had similar, when I went to rear ports. Couldn't hear nothing from my onboard. There were a couple of jumpers set to bypass the rear ports.

Check you mobo, you might have similar.
Otherwise I have no clue.

hey the problem is beingh resolved with warrentah. Getting a replacement. I did try the jumpers but alas to no avail.a thanks anyways coogle.
