About 2 months ago, i had a crazy idea for a mod based on UT2004. For the initial inspiration, i have to thank CLGA for showing me the unreal 3 engine, and 3dbuzz.com for showing me the light.
about a month ago, we had a team formed which had already hit some pretty decent hurdles (legal issue, other PD mods etc.) but had pulled through together and formed a team that was starting to make progress.
this morning i woke up, showered and came to work.
on april 1st this year, we will have a completed alpha.
now, when we first decided on alpha 1, we wanted 1 map, 1 weapon and some basic physics code. what we now have is alot more than that... as far as i am concerned, alpha1 is already done... what i want to do is by the end of the month, we have alpha1x.
this will basicly be all the stuff we have done so far, packaged up nicely, and distributed amongst ourselves... no outside ppl yet.
y do i want to do this? because 2 months ago none of us knew how to make a game, and i want us to make a release where we can sit back and look how far we've come since then.
so, what i need is a realistic list of what every1 can get done by then, and work towards that list. at this stage i think modelling is where we are moving the slowest, so i'm trying to get more help in that area.
as for me, PD-Area52 will be finished by april 1st
