Another club i know is organising a track day on ANZAC day.
Just posting this up to see if there is any interest from people on here who would like to attend.

Due to the fact that its is being held on a public holiday there is a 10% surchage which will put the price up to $132 for the day. There is also the cost of your wakefield lisence if you don't already have one. I believe that it is around $40. He usually makes a limit of 45 cars for the day so that it doesn't get too congested out on the track.

If you are interested i can PM you the number of the organiser and you can book a ticket.

Apparently the club organising it is "circuit club".

Spots fill up fast, so check it out.

Just thought I'd inform you all for those that are more speed inclined than others. :)

Cheers

Who is James?

But yeah, I figured some ppl might be interested.

I'm thinking of taking my car for a burn, but I dunno as of yet. Gotta get it fully serviced and some things checked out. Wanna get the coilovers put on before I take it out onto the track. :)

I think we all need to pool some money and buy an old corona to thrash down there bahahaha

Edit: On a serious note, my dad has raced there as well (bikes though) and says it's a good course, but a more technical one than say, Eastern creek.

Will be an interesting drive!

Even if I don't go out on the track, who is interested in coming for a cruise to check it out?

We must also go to Oran Park sometime to watch the twilight drift which is on at driftland there every now and then, would be mad to watch. :)

well considering u cant just "cruise" to golburn for the day i say we wait till there is a wknd event happening and stay down there

thats what he did when baz went and races in the historic tourers

he actually went last wknd and won his division and came 3rd outright

its awesome to see a car that is over 40 yrs old still hammer !!!!

Sure you can. You've just gotta leave really early in the mornin. :)

Point taken though, I shall keep a sharp eye out for the next Oran Park or Eastern Creek open track days, and I will notify you ASAP. They are in a bit more of a realistic location.
