I like it and that's what matters.

Pics are poo because it was low light and my camera is a budget Kodak digital camera.

What is it?

It's a GZ20 Soarer

6 Cylinder 24 valve Twin Turbo (CT12 turbos) with a front-mount intercooler
A340 automatic transmission ( I know... I know...)
TEMS
Pedders suspension (gay)
Stocker 15" soarer wheels
Cassette player
Blown 6'9 speakers in the rear (gay)
Climate control
Electric everything
Air purifier
Digi dash

http://www.supload.com/012005/digidash.JPG
might need to copy paste that link for it to work

What's the to-do list?
hmm... lets see.

New air filter. Probably a pod one (rice!) but who knows.

Cusco comp-1 coilovers.

17" oz racing copys off an R33 skyline

New 'zorst system

Complete service and tune

Maybe - VIA epia computer system integrated into car as mp3 server / more

Maybe - Nardi wheel.

Wish list! (or "next year or later" list)

1JZ halfcut and a R154

edit: oh yeah. any suggestions as to what to do with the car, greatly appreciated. Just bounce your ideas at me, I don't mind. :)

If I get the tranny and I dont need to get the tailshaft lengthened and its just a swap-in for the auto tranny, can you find someone to install it for me for cheap?

If the answer to that is yes, then I will get a manual tranny within 2 months :P

unfortunately, it's a few quid to do a manual swap... I could put a W58 tranny in there for a bit cheaper than an R154, the 1G-GTE would be fine with that tranny

I hope your a Mechanic then :P

instead I'd stick with auto and get a torque converter..the fastest Supra's are 2 speeds with Torque converters(quater mile)

Edit, judging by your inlet it'll have almost as much lag as mine :P

I'm not building my car to be a quarter mile demon...

I want something that handles and is fun for spirited driving :)

It's good now, but a manual would make it so much easier.

Additionally, if I did a manual tranny swap, I don't think I would do it. haha

W58 + labour to install it (excluding other costs of parts i'd need) would be around $2000.

Not out of reach, but for now, there's more important things to do to the car. :)

I was under the impression it was alot more expensive to get it done, other then that you probably wanna swap the tubs and then look at doing things, of course I don't know how much headroom your tubs have...I'm told past around 300awkw is my stock T9's limits

Edit: actually I'd find stock looking widder wheels, putting racing wheels on a car like that is a little...girly

They're just off a skyline, they're not actual R33 wheels.

I think some nice five spokes would look cool...

What do you mean, "girly" ? I'd hardly call some nice wheels rice, unless it was uber overkill, which it won't be. :)

Going for the "almost stock" look

Hell, I might get these wheels cleaned up to the point where they look brand spankin new again, and leave the car looking completely stock... (except for the coilovers which would make it considerably lower)

STEALTH! :o

*shrugs*

eh, i dunno. I'll decide when the time comes. First on the agenda is to get it completely serviced.

Any suggestions for a mechanic to take it to? I don't want to take it to some random mechanic or a toyota dealership (theyre going to have no more of a clue than a normal mechanic)

Gold!!!

she looks nice and clean reasonably stock tbh..you can put oversized rubber on the rims, maybe a nice little rear wing, remove that badging and you've got a very convincing sleeper.

Edit: maybe go for some 5 spoke's off another stock toyota would be my recommendation (slightly fatter while looking completely stock)

also, which an exhaust is nice please oh please do not make some huge dump exhaust pipe as it'll completly ruin the sleeper part of it and make it look like a done up charade (no offence)

Edit V3...what capacity is it?

My car?

It's a 2 litre inline six.

1G-GTE.

Good for around 210horsepower stock.

BTW, it's hard for it to be a sleeper.

it says 24 VALVE TWIN TURBO on both doors, in the rear left brake light, and on the front bar. hehe

edit:
oh and im not interested in buying some massive canon.

I would get an exhaust for performance... and while i'd probably get some sizable tip on the end, i wouldnt get a big milo can size one

Depending on cost etc... what you can do is buy a tweaking device for the auto that make the shift pattern less sloppy and soft...

Dude, without the Turbo's your car is a shopping trolley, so if you take the badges off everyone will believe it is one..which is a great advantage for sleeping, GTR's can't get away with anything.

yeah,... cause like... soarers are just as popular as an excel and stuff, arent they...

what i meant was with or without twin turbo written on the side, a two door japanese GT coupe that is extremely uncommon is never going to gain sleeper status.

So I think I'll just leave the badges on my "shopping trolley".

oh and FYI, most motors that come factory fitted with turbos are fairly lacklustre if you were to run them without the turbos, due to the lower compression ratio

sports car is always gonna look like a sports car, badges or not

'course, if I put a 2JZGTE in there then people would scoff and think its just a 1G-GTE , unbeknownst to them there's a little more power under the hood B)

But i dont have a spare 6grand + :D

nah mate, Cressida's are everywhere (and that's what your care is a rebadged version of)..sure it's slightly differen't shape, but that'll fool people no worries :)

anyway, it's of course yours to do as you wish

*wipes tears from eyes*

SAME AS THE CRESSIDA OLOL

You win the internet pal

cressida - X chassis

soarer - Z chassis

cressida - FOUR DOOR SEDAN
soarer - TWO DOOR COUPE

Please, the similarities are killing me ;)

Rebadged cressida... pull your head out of the ground. They are nothing alike.

Besides, the cressida is a rebadged chaser for the ADM and USDM and basically any country that recieved them outside of japan.

Now there's a car I wouldn't mind... a JZX81 chaser would be horn

wait... another bout of laughter coming on of you calling my two door GT coupe a four door luxury sedan... BAHAHAHAHA

end communication

edit: whatever floats your boat I guess. :)

mr2 was stating that it looks like a cressida and quite frankly if they made a coupe cressida thats what it would look like

so please no laughing at him for just voicing his opinion, we are all in this together and the last thing we need is flaming starting again

I'm laughing at what he said not laughing at him.

Styling of the cressida while similar (all toyotas share some similarities in that time period) it's quite different.

Sure, there are similarities in styling (they are both toyotas) but one can hardly say that they look exactly the same except one has two doors.... they are quite different.

But as I stated at the end of my post, whatever floats your boat I guess.
