Ok i have been stuffing around with everything for the last 2 days and got no where.....

I originally thaught it was the filters on the phones but they have been replaced and nothing.... on the phone line i have 1 Cordless phone 1 wall mounted phone and foxtel digital.... The corles phone works fine with the DSL when its plugged in, but when fox and the wall phone are plugged it i have all sorts of troubles.... such as disconnections every 5 mins.... very low dl speeds over 50k and under..... i cant solve this problem... anyone whom can please for god sake help me im abou tto explode in rage


EDIT: forgot to mention this never happened when i was on 512K with ozemail

Best bet is that it's your wall phone.

If it's older, then your just gonna have to unplug it every time u wanna use the net -_-

My mate had the same problem on dialup, he just removed the phone and the 5min drops stopped..

It was the age of the phone, so maybe get a new phone? :blink:

Thats my best bet anyway, best of luck.. drop outs are so annoying.

lots of rain lately check for corrision on the PCB for the Wallphone there easy to take off, if this continues get your line checked for resistance, had this problem last week and now its all fixed.

Is it just your modem going out of sync? if youve done the above then check your comp setup.

Also definantly try what BR3TT said but if you didnt have any problems with your old provider its probrobly corrision or resistance
