View Full Version : CCGL site problems...
Its either my internet connection (which is highly unlikely because im not having any troubles like this with any other site) or the site but 8 out of 10 times the ccgl site doesnt load and i get "the document contains no data" on firefox or "couldnt connect to server" on ie..i dont know what the problem is but was wondering if someone does or if someone else is having the same problem?

What connection do you have? I used to get the same problem at night on my old 512. Doesn't do it so much on 1.5.

yea i get that aswell...
bloody annoying!!!
happens all the time on my home 512k
have to refresh heaps of times...
but on my work connection it seems to work fine :S?
Im on 56K dialup, so i could be getting timeouts from the server. But it only started to occur a couple of days ago.

--
anyone got any proof, hard evidance, that i can work with :)
--
There has been about 4 recorded downtimes, 1 was the whole machine failing, so the hdd's where transplanted into a new box ( month ago )
Then the core router was replaced ( last week )
--
Other than that, pipe has been having problems, wich is one of the peering links, for months now, its an ongoing problem
The other 2 where before ccgl.org was on the box :)

Anywho, ill watch this thread :)

With me, the "www.ccgl.org could not be found" comes up, but as soon as I click the link again it works...
No lengthy downtime, just a pain in de a$$
I get it all the time, itll happen and happen and happen etc, and then later like 30 - 45 mins itll work, and then drop out again...

sounds more like an issue with PIPE than with the CCGL server...

James isn't flaming, simply stating facts. None of you people have half a clue what the problem is, so don't go "blah blah it's pipe" when you have no evidence to back it up.
And of course CCGL is dead, I mean why else would we be fixing up servers and still have a domain registered? Oh and why would be looking into expanding and about 400 other things like AOCN and *** **** *****.
Frankly, I'm over it. Theres more to life than the forums and whinging about the next LAN.
Jeez, I thought WPG would have calmed you guys down for awhile.
And by the way, before you people start b**tching at me, I only bothered posting here because I received 7 reported post notifications from people for various reasons.

as you would have noticed, ccgl.org appeared to be down last night
it was infact perfectally fine, the dns was being reworked for the entire network so that you would have a trouble free time viewing the site, and all the other sites we host B)
if you notice any problems reply in this thread with time, carrier, screen shot etc
