16 colours wasnt state of the art, you just didnt own an amiga :P
my a500 had 2 floppies and my A2000 had 1 floppy, a 1 speed cdrom and an 80meg scsi hdd. man i miss that thing ;(

lol wouldn't know for sure but the 8mhz of x86 power probably predated the A500... I did work with Amiga's a fair bit as well.

I rember doing lightwave renders on the Amiga tho.. like 10 hours for about a two second render that a 486 could do in realtime
