hehe.. looks like a fun experiment for anyone interested.
not sure what benifits OSX would provide over XP or vista or whatever flava you run on your boxen.
but.. bit of fun at the very least.

Looks kewl ^.^
I wonder if you can get it in fullscreen mode..
Cause in the screens with his laptop, it's not.. and the others are just print screens.
It would look - if I did it to my laptop and it's not in widescreen <_<

For anyone thats interested, the copy that was leaked extracts to just on 6.5GB and runs well on a 3.2GHz EE & 2GB of RAM.

alc: its osx and because its running on an x86, all programs that work under WINE on other unix systems will work on osx, whereas the cpu is different on ppc based macs, and stops the programs from working because their cpu instructions are completely different, but Apple have been compiling osx for the X86 platform since the first release, and by the looks of it there was only a few things to modify to unlock the x86 code. im so getting this tonight :P

you require a CPU with sse3 to be able to make use of Rosetta / PPC apps.
so if you can meet all the req's .. it will run perfectly and very very fast.

i would have ran it on mine, had it been legal
and had i ran it i would say it ran sweet as and gave me a fat
also the only drawback would have been that my graphics card isnt supported
but for legal reasons i did not try it ;)
im running it at work, its alright although some apps arent working. iTunes mainly.
But i forsee it being fixed soemtime in the future.

yeah.. itunes isnt working cause you need SSE3 to run rosella wich converts PPC apps on the fly to x86.

try that if u only got sse2 rather than sse3, the networking still dosen't work if u run it on vm ware but everything else dose

also, to speed it up alot, remove /system/library/extensions/appletpmacpi.kext and it will stop hammering your cpu in an effort to load the tpm module. i did it and now it runs soooo much faster

yea the pc has no use for the file, somthing to do with the new processors mac is bringing out soon, so the file is useless for even the G5's

well actually, it does have a use. on the un-cracked version, it will only load on a mac with the correct hardware TPM module, the crackers removed the software interface to the TPM module, but not the kernel extension that calls it, hence appletpmacpi hogging cpu time trying to call the tpmmodule
