Urgent World of Warcraft help needed

I bought WoW and Im trying to make an account but it asks me for a pre-paid card number on step 5. Am I missing it? All I got in my box was the game CDs x4, the cd case with auth. code X1, a thick-as-hell manual x1, A guest card with guest Auth. code and a pamphlet showing their other products.

Am I missing anything?

I emailed blizzard tech team but they reckon it will be 24-48 hours and I need to know before tomorrow morn if i need to take it back or not.

You have to buy game cards at various retailer to actually play the game.... its a pay to play game...

youre MEANT to get one month free when you buy it. It dont say nothing about needing to buy another month to create the account. And if you get one month free, you SHOULDNT have to pay. So am I supposed to get a one month card with it or what? Cuz I didnt get nothing with it besides them things i stated above. Im asking ONLY people who have bought/had an account with WoW. I KNOW its P2P, just not the first month.

WirlWind, It should allow you to pay by credit card too..., just look around the sides for it. Prepaid cards are just like prepaid phones, they give you time to use them. Most people tend to like the auto-pay better.

you pay to play so the quests and stuff can be updated all the time and new content gets added, its a dynamic gameplay experience and worth the money if you like that sorta game

2. Buy Everquest 2.

not even then would it be worth it..... When i go out and pay 80+ dollars for a game i expct to be able to play it online fullstop... not then have to pay another 25 dollars a month

You buy the game. Then chose a method of paying for it. Once you start the payment, THEN you get a free month.

no its cheaper per month the longer you buy. I could buy a month for $20ish or a 6 months for like $60 or so.

That's kinda assuming that the game will still be worth its salt in six months time, but meh I'm not a fan of pay to play....

Yeah, the game comes with 1 month free, but if you don't use a credit card you need to buy a game card - pissed me off too. DSmith sell the cards for $35 for 2 months IIRC.

Yes, it's pay to play but not in the same field as buying a game such as BF2 and being charged. WoW constantly adds content, so by the time they've added the same amount an expansion pack would have, you've only paid the amount you would have for said expansion pack.

$5 a week is nothing to me, I pay more for a sub. If you like the game and the community, why not? That, and the fact you can sell your account for like $500 if you get a lvl60 character with wicked items.

and if people remember correctly, acording to the stats off xfire, the most people are usually playing WoW or CS:S with 4,005,186 hours of WoW today its not hard to understand that people play it alot for a reason, the third place gane (battlefield 2) has almost half that with a bit over 2,000,000 hours played today.
