Ok here's the deal, i want to get a 802.11g wireless access point hooked into my home network, i know a few of you guys have wireless networks up and running so i was wondering what you guys use for your networks, at the moment i'm looking at the netgear WG602v2 but i'm not sure if it's what i want, any advice would be appreciated ^_^

note: one of the things i need to connect to the wireless is an iBook with an Airport Extreme card in it, so it would need to be compatable.

thx in advance ppl :)

Im using a D-Link 604T & its awesome. Never had a problem & it supports everything I need.

You wont have compatibility issues with the iBook connecting, because its simply a gateway to the internet.

Bring up your terminal & type:

route add default gw 192.168.0.1 (or whatever your router is)

done.

kthxbi

You'd have to configre the base station first with a static IP, once thats done and you have your SSID + encryption setup on the base station, you should have no problems connecting to it with any platform. either telnet or browse to the ip address should get you in if its configured properly.
