i dont think the keys lock to your username,
when i bought the ones i got, i tested them all to check they were legit before i sold them. you cant change your account name without losing your points, but you can make a new account name... so i dont think the keys are reserved after you use them.

Installed OK, and created new account...
Now all I need is a 1.02 No-CD patch

i got it a few days before it came out in aus & my key works online just fine.

I already had an install DVD img I burnt to a DVD-R because of my dislike of daemon tools. After reinstalling with new CD Key, everything is sweet...
Due to there being not being a No-DVD crack for 1.02-1.03 I had to run DT anyway to mount the mini image to run it...
I must say BF2 is a much better game than BF/DC... I only ever played BF/DC when bored of CS (rare) and could only handle 5-10min at a time. Hence, I never really got a handle on the proper gameplay and maps. With BF2, I find after the map ends and restarts I hang in there for another round. I generally hang in for 30min+ now...
