Version 4 of Daemon tools is out if anyone is interested.

Lets you play all those backup CD's of all ure valuable original cd's that you keep hidden away so as not to scratch them.

And YES...it can get past all current Starforce protection (works on X3 : Reunion, GT Legends etc etc etc) without any BS utilities like StarF_ck and SR7.stop and sfcure01.

For n00bs/Non-Researching Type;

- complete redesign from scratch
- support of 4 virtual drives
- ONLY X32-supported now. X64 will follow
- Drivername randomly generated on each machine (not finished yet)
- Drive-vendor and versionnumber randomly generated
- Complete new emulation architecture
- DCP (DaemonCodeProtect) to make analyses harder and increase development time for malicious anti-DT tools
- Digital signature verification of applications who are trusted to access DT in secure mode
- AutoInsertNotification fully implemented (can be turned on/off at ControlPanel)
- Dropped: MS-Installer, DT now use modificated NullsoftInstaller
- Dropped: analog sound support (as Windows 2000 and above do not need this feature)
- supports all popular copyprotections

Note Problems ;
Starforce isn't supported yet. If you read they haven't implimented the anti-starforce stuff yet you still have to disable your IDE drives but soon they will release it. Althought it seems to me Securom 7 still doesn't work with this release either.,

And for Starforce I found that Starforce Nightmare does not work for disabling your drives correctly without starforce detecting them. So I used the latest version of Star. v0.83 and selecting starforce v3.4.49.x and clicked patch blacklist althought I don't know if thats needed or not and then clicked disable cd-rom's

Added to all this is some ppl have problems with securerom games......

+ other problems can be bothered to explain them...

In Conclusion Best bet is to stay with the old 3.4* versions.

EDIT 2 Minutes laters

Been out for 2 weeks.....
