love how it multi seeds, when you get some game patch mirrors *coff* auslamers *cough* they are slow, but when a file is on torrent its alot faster

When it comes to clients, can I ask why no one has suggested BitTorrent itself?

Everyone seems to go with azureus or bitcommet and others, but no one suggests BitTorrent... why?

BitTorrent 4.2.2 (http://www.bittorrent.com/)

because you cant support multiple downloads at the same time.

plus you cant incorporate plugins like others do.

I use ABC btw & it pwnz.

meh i've found the basic rule when it comes to this sort of thing is that whoever invented it never has the best client

i use shareaza

has a file search thing built in, so if the file im torrenting is already on there with more peers i can download through the client, instead of using 1 torrent with say only 5 seeds

--

next step is getting torrents cranking at ccgl instead of the poor intranet getting raped when ppl are downloading their windows updates and virii tools

last lan it was being pwned cause of that, running like a dog on friday

Hey maj, what linux distro you on atm? Debian?

And, which torrent client runs best on linux?

And, can you RDP from a windows machine to a linux box?

I can confirm that there is an RDP Client in linux i will find out what it is for you next time i log into my linux machine if you wish, it works quite well but VNC is better imho.

Azureus is available across most platforms (i run it on my mac and on debian :P)

I wanna setup a torrent leech box on wireless and stick it behind the bar with just a powercord attached... that would keep some heat out of my office...

I wanna have it run 24/7, and any downloaded files transferrable via RDP or similar app...

So I need to remote from my XP to a linux distro... and not just control the leech box, but transfer files across to other pootas... If this is gunna be a problem, I'll stick with XP on both boxes...
