Hi guys, i just went and picked up my car from my sis' place and wanted to share it with someone lol

She's had this for about 4 months, bought it for $1500 (Ripped off hard). She fell into a fair bit of money recently and bought a new commy, so naturally she wanted to get rid of this one.

It's an '85 FIAT regata 100S station wagon, this is good for me as i need to carry around music gear from prac to prac and eventually gig to gig, so it comes in handy. It's a 5 speed manual, FWD (Just had CV joints and starter motor replaced) with all electric acc. and a cd player. There are a few things that need fixing though, the door panels, a small amount of rust, paint, some things to the engine like new rocker cover gaskets.

It needs a new paint job, but until such time that i can afford it i can live with the paint lol. I just want it running smoothly (Not like it isn't at the moment but it has some small things like the oil leak, which the gaskets will fix) and then i'll think about sound system and other little things.

Engine DOHC, 8 valves total, 2 valves per cylinder

Max. output 101.4 PS (100.0 bhp) (74.6 kW) @5900 rpm

Max. torque 127.0 Nm (94 lbft) (13 kgm) @3800 rpm

Just needed to share with everyone :)

It's not bad at the moment, the wider tyres make it alittle harder on the steering, but it's not bad...Responds well. :)

If you click on the link in his sig it takes you to sepcs of the car, in the specs there is a reference to 'PS' for the power it puts out. So if someone saw MR2's reference to PS on this thread and had not read the page that is in the siggy link then they would have NFI what was actually being referred to.

Link in the sig..
http://www.carfolio.com/specifications/models/car/?car=429&

Definition of PS..
PS = Pferdestärke (1.0 PS = 0.9863 HP.)

So technially James was wrong...but he may not have read the link...so..umm..yeah...

Sif use PS anyways...lol

nope I'm wrong

BHP stands for Brake Horse power...which sounds like it means a measurement taken at the brakes....this is infact incorrect, as james points out

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horsepower

I found it varies from country to country with power readings.

There seems to be a set standard....that no one follows

In the UK all their dyno readings are damn good compared to here.....cause they seem to take all theirs at the flywheel rather than here where we mostly use at the wheels.

Unless its the air over there :/

yeah could be anything, Japan for example have much better fuel...nfi about the UK
