is ur video card overclocked? were you running a 3d app at the time? game etc.
next time it happens, hit print screen and save the image, it will let you know if it's a video card or monitor problem

update vidcard drivers, or if you have the latest roll back to previous version, if that dosen't help remove any superpowerfull magnets from around you're monitor
that and make sure the monitor cable is plugged in properly

If its like that
You need a new gfx card.
And probably ur one now is gonna die.
Thank you, Drive Thru.
It's exactly like that Brett....
Bugger...
How long do cards usually hold out after doing that the first time? Does it vary?
Thanks.

To be honest man, I don't really remember, was a good 2 years ago now.
Happened to my Radeon 9-ty something (i forget) lol. 9600 i think?
Worked for around 1 month after that, and died at a fact0ry LAN.
Can't really put a time frame on it, but it's not looking good dude.

Yeah, one of my many problems at the moment aye lol...
I'm still trying to figure out how i'm going to afford a PCI-E 6600GT for my 64-bit system...And where i'm going to get my hands on $100 to cover the cost of the cpu...The last thing i needed was for something on this sytem to screw me over...
Cheers for the info though bro, helps me out alittle.

No warranty still in effect?
Nope unfortunately...I checked that, just to see if i could get out of paying another $100 odd for an AGP card...
