yay

one of my friends recently effed up his celica while driving up in somersby into a tree....

the whole front end was screwed but he replaced all the panels and had the engine fixed before he blew a head gasket.....

anywayz he went out and bought a silvia and said i could have the celica if i wanted to put some money into it.....

does anybody know about how much a head gasket for a '89 Toyota Celica cost???

actually just worked out this car might set me back further than i thought:

this is with NRMA,

dude thats cheap I pay 1.5k for my silvia and 1.5k excess.

Head gasket should be around $300 but you will need to get the head machined and checked for cracks. should be around $800 all up if you find the right place

He's right...I still think it's crap...Extending the time on plates won't do anything but make it more fun to break the rules...Soon you'll hear "Pffft, i was driving V8's as soon as i got my P's, screw waiting FOUR years!" instead of "Pffft, i was ... 3 years!!"...It doesn't do anything.

Maxi
25-11-2006, 08:33 AM
Fingers crossed the fools who want to break the rules only kill themselves when they have an acco :)

I'm all for the idiots out there wiping themselves out, makes the roads safer for the rest of us.

How a P plater affords to run a V8 is beyond me anyways......oh thats right...mummy and daddy...

Adding another year to P plate times is only going to increase that statistics for P platers in accidents. YAY, just another reason for P platers to be hated.
