Still deciding wether to get a team to come down can some1 plz give me a run down of tourneys etc? and will there be skilled players? last insmonia ( www.tlegion.com ) was so boring like seroiusly we won cod2 final 600-350 (headquaters) and there wasnt even a source tourney for us to rip up :P

Couple of decent CoD clans..Source not too sure. If your decent, shall be an interesting CoD comp then.

They Close the night before the lan - i do the attendence list around 7 pm on the thursday.
Ofcourse if you havent regged you can still turn up but rego helps us with set up / sponsors and is always greatly appreciated

The freaky thing is that I have used a condom at a LAN before, though as a filter for one of my fans......

Couldn't use it for its real purpose though, otherwise I would be locked up for pedophillia. Only a couple of girls go to our LANs and they are either too young or engaged. Sides....I'm not one to cheat.... :P

I recently joined the CCGL because I heard from a friend that your organisation does xbox tournaments (and I am assuming Xbox 360 tournaments). I checked out the site's xbox page and it appears as though it hasn't been updated in a while. I am wondering if the LANS organised are strictly PC or are they original xbox/Xbox 360 too? If so, how many people with xboxes attend these LANs? I am really into competitive Xbox gaming but playing Xbox LIVE with Americans has lost its appeal and I really want to play with some ardent Australian Xbox gamers in my area.

Any information addressing my queries would be much appreciated

If its able to play a game on a network, its welcome at CCGL :P

In the past, CCGL events have been dominated by PC Gaming. Lanners are starting to bring Console's and CCGL encourages that. If demand is high enough, we will also run comps for it. At our last PhatLan there was a few xbox's setup with a plasma and lanners would come buy and give it a go 1v1, winner plays on.

So, this Lan, we are throwing out an invitation to anyone with a console to bring it along. For some gaming and network play :D

Who are planning to bring xbox/xbox 360s? If so, what LANable games do you plan to bring? I am planning to bring Halo: Combat Evolved to alleviate some nostagia I've been feeling lately. It's a classic and considering Halo 3 will be released mid-2007 (I hope!) I feel it would be apt to play Halo 1. Also, Halo 2, COD 2 and possibly Perfect Dark Zero and The Outfit. (Both games I currently do not have in my possession, but if enough people have these games and are willing to play them, I will inevitably purchase them.

CCGL 32 7th July To 9th July Update


For those who don’t know
New Venue for CCGL 32
Start Time 4 pm Friday 7th – 12.pm Sunday 9th
Mt PENANG PARKLANDS
Building 25 on The Avenue.
Kariong.

Its 15 mins away from Gosford High School. (Old Venue)

People coming from Sydney / Newcastle take the Gosford exit off F3 and its 5 mins from exit.
Signs will also be put up to assist confused travelers.

The venue is well set up and has plenty of power / room and thanks to our dedicated admins we are well organised to run at this new venue with such limited notice.

STEAM Counter-Strike Comps CS CSS
Make sure that your Steam is updated on the Thursday evening. We have set up a new proxy and will be testing it at this lan. People needing updates or doing full installs DO NOT ATTEMPT to update on the net. Contact Steam Admin “Asher” or one of the other admins to assist you with updating / installing steam. If you have any other Steam games make sure “update / install this game” is paused or switched off.

Comps at CCGL
We will be running CS, CSS, BF2, DC,COD 2, Ghost Recon 1, UT, plus any others. To assist us running all these comps make sure you register your clans when you arrive at CCGL. This will help us organise comp times on Saturday.
Atm
Friday evening will attempt to run a bf / cd comp depending on teams
Saturday CS 1.6 9.30 – 11am
CSS 11am – 1pm
COD 2 1pm - 3pm
Ghost Recon 3pm – 5 pm
Break / spare 5pm -7pm (covers us if any comps are running over time)
UT / bf /dc 7pm -10pm (may start earlier)

We have Prizes for
CSS comp 5 x Qpad midsense mouse pads
Ghost Recon 5 x Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter games.
Door prizes from PC n Parts, Thermaltake .(Cases and 430 watt psu’s)
Members Prize TBA

100 Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter Demos to hand out.

Xbox Lan

We will have a 24 Xbox table set up for all people briging xbox / consoles. We will have 1x projector, 1 x monitor and 1x 24 port switch available but people will need to provide own monitors.

Setup Help and event access time.
People wanting to help set up arrive from 10am – 12 am. We will not be opening doors before 4 pm so people arriving early for lan will not be given access to set up till then.[/b]
