Xbox 360 Games

I just got an xbox 360, today, and was wondering what games i should consider buying, i'm into driving sims mostly, but do like an RPG every now and then...

Back on what you like:

Test Drive Unlimited looks good.
PGR 3 is alright

if u like rpg's and haven't played oblivion, that should be your first choice (and pre order mass effect as soon as u can, it's gonna be better than KOTOR2 apparently)

as for driving games, i'm happy with nfs carbon atm... wasn't a huge fan of TDU, mainly cos i thought the old school TD3 was more fun... Forza 2 should be out in time for xmas i think?

and yeah, gears of war is a popular choice... splinter cell double agent or rainbow six: vegas are both pretty awesome too

looking at my shelf now to see what i've forgotten... lego star wars was fun to play through, perfect dark zero was good, but not as good as the 64 version... table tennis is awesome when u can pick it up now for like 30 bucks... tony hawks american wasteland was shit tho...


oh, and dont forget the xbox live arcade, some great games on there... make sure u grab MK3 and street fighter 2 hyper off there (demo's at least)... if u get the latest dashboard update u can set arcade games to auto download the demo's, there's alot of cool ones on there...

Gears of War has come out since your post.

It dominates.

Xbox live is deliriously vicious.

The story mode is outstanding aswell. Better than anything to date.

100% agree, GoW is the #1 360 title atm.

played a bit more nfs carbon over the weekend, i'm liking it more and more i have to say... i wasn't the biggest fan of most wanted, cos to me the cop chases feel forced and repetitive... i like the balance they've found with carbon, plus the drifting is cool ;)

Wierd I'm on the completly different end of the yardstick with regards to drifting. Drifintg itself is cool, but the control used to drifting on carbon is just silly (turning the wheel left and right turns the back of the car, rather than the front wheels)

it took me a while to get used to it compared to the drifting in underground, but i found that a very gentle touch is needed in drifting now... u playing on kb/mouse or control pad?

playing on a wheel I think the new drifting style is better suited to a keyboard or pad, which would make sense considering the target audience

I found carbon WAY too easy...I feel it was more customization options and less gameplay (driving) itself...
