Teamz0r Linup Revamp
Teamz0r have just revamped their line up, AOCN’s Inferno caught up with the team to get the lowdown on the new recruits.
I'm here tonight with a few members of Teamz0r. 1st up we have Nick "point5" as Manager, Cheza "peR`" as TeamLeader and Josh "deathdoG" as TeamLeader & Pro Caller
deathdoG: Hi
peR`: hihi
point5: hey
With all the other teams out there why did you choose Teamz0r to manage?
point5:
Well firstly, i heard that tz was on the verge of disbanding completely, and i thought to myself, why let a dominating team such as tz die like this. So that is when i first sent my plan/resume to kuai and per. Both seemed interested and i was appointed manager that night. I really wanted to manage tz because i believe they have a lot of potential, and can go far in css. Im extremely glad i made this decision because the tz blokes are extremely great guys and a pleasure to work with.
The anticipation is killing me, Who's in the New Teamz0r!
deathdoG:
peR`
DeF|LeR
deathdoG
fp`
MapLe
Mr. Flibble
Nugg
Frnk
…And OnLan in Sydney; deathdoG, dNb, MapLe, Mr. Flibble & Nugg.
Word in the rumour mill is that there is a huge amount of hostility & bad blood between the team and Kuai?
peR`: haha there's no bad blood between tz and kuai, he was the one that wanted me to conintue running tz
point5: Yeah i would just like to add, Kuai was the one to appoint me. I would like to think of him as a new mate, he has helped me with a lot of decisions, and been supportive 100% of the way. So definitely there is no bad blood, infact you could call it good blood.
How do you plan on harnessing all this new firepower injected into the Teamz0r Lineup?
deathdoG: iMpact, with the inclusion of peR` have played for a significant time together... I believe firepower may be an inaccurate word to describe the changes... We're trying to establish the merger on team work and this basis has already been formed between most of the members through accumulation of play time. In time and practice we'll assimilate the previous tz members into this gamestate. We're all keen to get this thing going and we hope that we can put the effort in and get this team to where it needs to be... the only thing remaining is how long that will take
CS Source isn't seeing much airtime in the Australian Gaming Community, or even Internationally for that matter. Where does Teamz0r get the motivation to play source, and not switch to another game.
deathdoG: The motivation to play source comes from the fact that we're familiarized with the game and the community is generally full of great blokes. There are key figures who are pushing for Source to be recognized within Australia and with the help of sponsors maybe it will obtain some kind of public recognition and produce decent LAN Tourneys etc. We'll be staying with Source until that happens
IF it was all about the updates, what do you feel valve need to change about the game to make it more appealing and give it that competitive edge to sway the 1.6 vote and get some large sponsors behind the game.
deathdoG: Source’s release where an unwelcome entry into the Gaming Community, not just in Australia but Internationally. 1.6 Players will evidently stay true to 1.6, and Source players to Source and no amount of updates by Valve will change this. I don't believe its up to Valve, but the community itself. Theres no one more suitable than the Source Community and Modding scene to change what they see is fit. Such aspirations have seen to the commenced production of CSS Pro Mod, which will hopefully bring the two communities together.
Thanks for taking the time out of wars and pracs to sit down and talk with me. Do you have any Shoutouts?
point5: I would just like to say thanks to #AOCN as our main sponsor, Inferno for the interview, all of the Source Community that follow us. I would like to thank our other sponsors for their tremendous help and services they provide us #CodeRed #Concept.Gaming and #STBProductions. Lastly i would like to thank Geoff "Kuai" he has guided me as manager and helped Teamz0r so much even though he is no longer a part of us. So thank you all.
deathdoG: A big thankyou to the Source Community for making the merger easy and supporting the new team, hope to game on with you soon!
