We are currently competing on the game arena ladder Ranked 58* We are highly motivated and always up for a challenge. I am currently appointed captain after being in the clan for a number of months. I am taking this role as serious as one can be. Trying to do what is right by everyone and also being able to improve on things that we may not be strong at. We are a young developing clan and I personally am willing to do and/or try anything to make us better. In saying this we have a team speak channel, website and we would like to advertise your Company on all of these. Also we would use your Logo in our in game name. Concluding, a member in our clan finished 5th at the New Zealand MGL 2006, competing in Recoil tournament 2006, attends xLAN - top prize WCG. So would be possible to advertise you guys there.

Kudo's for at least trying but the first think I see is that you are currently Ranked 58 on GA. I would try and make a decent placement before asking for a server and gaming gear. Secondly you have 13 players on your team which is a sign of your placement. The good teams rarely ever have any more than 6 to 7 players.

we give out gaming gear??? dude before you go calling these clans that have sponsorship etc.. "noob" alot of them have been patient, and having a gaming server etc.. has helped them alot and they have been able to progress through the ranks just remember everyone starts small :)

Well to start with a mate put in a good word about you guys ! So i thought that i would check you guys out. Which i have now done. Ive found out info on you guys. Learnt some things along the way. Since i originally posted things have changed with the clan. Got a great deal better. We have a server, team speak etc now. Thank you for taking the time out to write back.

Yes, he may have got another offer but gee whiz, some people don't appreciate the costs involved with sponsoring teams. I don't see how people can come in here and basically demand things which you don't generally get until you are at least Top 3 in AUS, and even then they don't get sponsored gear (we're talking online teams here). Now I don't see why AOCN or any other organisation is going to sponsor some (excuse the terminology) random clan coming 58th in GA with gear that can cost in excess of $1000 for a team set. Oh yes, and then the recurring cost of a server...

Agreed about what you said, clans what more for less.
But then again, they do have the right to ask. Some clans can be a bit pushy which i disagree but a simple post on a forums cant do to much harm. as long as you can learn to take no for an answer thats all..

I have learned a lesson in all of this : doesnt take long in todays society to learn from your mistakes which i have certainly done here. I dont see a problem in asking because its as easy as being told no. But then again if you got extremely lucky which i now see would be the only way you would be beside yourself.

i enjoy css and like to be in control when i play, also im not the greatest player, so i rent my own server, for my friends/clan/randoms to play in,
why cant more people do stuff like this instead of begging for handouts
i stack alot of shelves to pay for my server lol, its not that hard and the cost is not that much when you think about it

Best way to get sponsored, get your name out there, win those comps sit on #1 on the ladder even if its a cake ladder when it comes to sponsors they dont care. As long as you peform everyone is happy
