** CCGL #34 [ LAN ON! ]

As u prolly know its our 5 year anniversary this lan so it would be awesome to catch up with some old faces - spread the word to all ya mates, both old and new lanners.

Quite a milestone for us, as we as an organisation have had as many downs as ups over this period.

Things have been quiet on the event side but we have been working behind the scenes sorting out a few situations which i will go into on another "Info / Update thread"

Any ideas /needs /queries for the next / future events post below.

Who would have thought during those cold nights at the factory planning and putting together the biggest LAN on the Central Coast, that it would still be going strong after 5 years!!!

I will say it again though......We need another shed lan. :)

Loaners are a money pit, unless you do what Alc's work does. Loaner for $25, needing say 10 of them, how much it is going to cost to keep going and upgrade as well as value decreasing..... And you earn a maximum of $250 per LAN for 10 Machines @ $25 each, that will upgrade the motherboards of 2 of the machines...... Not to mention the fact that you would also need to loan monitors, and keyboards and mice...... then u have to cover the cost of wear and tear...

You can see where im going...... Not only can you not earn a profit, but you loose more than what you earn, way more.

I may be able to loan a Standard Celleron 2.2 System with OnBoard Video..... But will want more than $25.....

I didnt ask for a rundown on how much it costs to keep a computer running and up to date. Thanks for the offer but im not willing to pay more than $25 and if i have to i will just come visit. which is gay btu anyways.

lol, i got out of that gig months ago ;) and even for the company i used to work for, $25 a day is very cheap compared to our usual rates...

and yeah, i'll be at the lan with bells on ;) altho i'll probably duck out for a bit on sat night to play some poker ;)

Why use stairs if i dont have to....... I could get all my stuff in the lift..... Just have to watch the Weight Limit.....

Seriously.... You dont wanna go over that weight limit at all.... Soon as it recognises the weight overload it locks down the lift whereever it is and there is no available overide....... hehehe seen it happen......

Yup its about a 2 minute walk :). When you get to the station, go towards the shops then go into the complex and go right down the back and its upstairs in that building.
