Ok u have seen it about - seen it merged - even seen it slagged off but what is it ?
Well for those who have asked here is the low down.
After the failure to get Clans from Sydney etc to come up to the Central Coast for comps we thought about taking CCGL ONLINE and started
AOCN (Australian Online Competition Network) back in Jan 05.
We obtained some sponsored bandwidth and managed to get a server box. Having limited success with the hosting we continued to invest in more servers and providing more services. We managed to run a few trial comps online and started to build up experience and admins.
After 12 months of "issues" we obtained a second bandwitdh sponsor and changed the name to Aus eSports.
Currently we are running 7 boxes at 3 data centres.
This move was designed to combine the online organisation with dedicated LAN COMPETITION events in Sydney and wherever a group of gamers wanted us to host a competition.
Last year was quite successfull running
2 x CS SOURCE Comps with $1000 prize money,
1 x CS 1.6 Comp with $3000 prize money,
3 x Internet Cafe events at Bondi.
Utilising internet cafe venues has been a great step tho some places are "difficult" to get decent pc's to run certain games on.
This year we intend to continue running LAN Competitions focusing on CS 1.6 / Source and a few other games.
As Aus eSports is part of the CCGL Group we are able to go anywhere in Australia and set up for an event. CCGL now owns all its own equipment so we are able to host and accomodate a 300 player event before we need to start "borrowing".
Id like to take this oppurtunity to thank Adsor for the huge effort he has put into Aus eSports over the last 2 years - its been very busy and has taken many hours per week to run / organise and maintain as well as his committment and time to CCGL events / websites as well.
Not forgetting our other admins that have helped out over this time especially at events.

Thanks guys :)
So where to from here for CCGL ONLINE - AUSES ? Well we are providing the following services,
Loan game servers
Sponsored Clan servers
COD 2 servers
Cs Source Pug server
6 x Ventrillo Servers
Webhosting
Free Clan Webhosting
Comps we will be running in 2007 both online and at Lan events will be listed soon.
People interested in becoming Auses admins email me. jason@ccgl.org
Hope this clears up any confusion :)
