I've got 1 easy solution, and 1 hard solution you'll like neither of them.

1, XP Pro baby
2, don't use your computer till SP1 is out

stick to xp until the system requirements of vista match... i understand that as new os's come out, u need to upgrade, but seriously... the overhead that vista puts on a single core cpu as well as your ram are just silly...

i'm happy running XP MCE 2005 with office 2007 here ;)

Every time Vista reboots it says there is an error within the Video Drivers, I read somewhere on a forum its because of the lack of Vista Support.

thats probably a really good point ... just thinking about it though ... they will have tigher validation rules for vista for genuine certs.

Vista was rushed to meet its date, its not ready yet(even though it was in development for 6 years) wait for SP1
also about the vista driver database as good as it is, their all MS drivers with virtually no feature support. AND if you actually restart as opposed to hibernate it has a tendency to say "OOH my MS drivers are better than these WHQL certified ones so ill roll the driver back" usually leaving several devices in a useless state.Since it came out any client of mine who has it calls me like every other day with some new problem. Stick With XP people! its tried and functional, also the fact that Vista uses half of your system RAM even at idle to render the Pretty OSX rip off desktop is a total jip and it allocates that memory permanently to windows.

Dont waste your time or money until its ready.
Hey XP wasnt great to start with either. was it?
I stayed on 2k for quite a while.

Peace out.

what video card are you using? has anyone else had problems with lack of drivers?

Vista is fine for public release - and it is stable. If you can't find drivers for the device you are using on vista by now, it is probably too old or too cheap.

only time i have had driver issues with vista is when i was running the 64bit version.
